Homework 3-22-11

It has been a while.....
Because 12 students came to school without homework completed today, I thought I'd better get back into the swing of things.

Social Studies:  Students should make corrections to their study guides (VS 6).  The test will be Thursday.

Science:  Please go over the directions for the weather project with your child.  It is due March 30th.

Reading:  Read pgs. 518-519  Be sure you know:  -what a plot is  - the answers to the Write About it Questions pg. 518
Define vocabulary pg. 520


Write Source:  Homework for Monday and Tuesday as defined in your notebooks.

Thursday is the last day for the 3rd nine weeks.  Make sure you have turned in all missing assignments. 
The AR party is on Thursday.  Please bring your own drink.  *NO GLASS containers.  Chips and a movie will be supplied.

Homework 2-15-11

Hi!  I am back after my blogging vacation!
Here is the homework for today:

Science:  Study for Ecosystem test.  The test was rescheduled and will be tomorrow morning.

Reading:  Study definitions pg. 445.  Test Friday.

Our Soaring Eagles Assembly was rescheduled for this Thursday at 10:00.  Parents are welcome to join us in celebrating your child's achievements.

IN NEED:  Our class is in need of magnets.  The magnets can be found at Walmart in the craft section. 

Homework 12-13-10

Social Studies:  Finish Virginia Studies Weekly newspaper
Spelling:  Study for pre-test
Reading:  define vocab. pg. 306

Note:
Please continue to bring in cans.  The contest is almost over!  The last day to bring cans is Wed. the 15th.

Homework 12-9-10

Spelling:  WB pg. 50 and 52
English:  WB pg. 40
Reading:  WS pg. 111 and 112, study for tests tomorrow
Math:  Benchmark test tomorrow

The can drive is still going on.  We are doing very well.  We have collected 230 cans!  Keep bringing them in.
 Interims came home today....please sign and return.


Our holiday party note went home attached to the interim today.  If you are able to donate anything, please let me know.  I need two parents to make cupcakes (12 each).  They can be any flavor but please do NOT ice them.  Thanks!

Note:
Please continue to bring in canned food.  So far, we have collected 150 cans!  At this rate, we might be able to win the prize for collecting the most cans!  Keep up the good work.  We are helping to make someones Holiday very bright!
If you would like to order books from the last book order, please turn them in by Thursday.

Social Studies: complete Jamestown study guide
Spelling:  copy words into agenda from pg. 49,  study for pre-test
English:  pg. 37 (1-10) write plural nouns
Reading: define vocab. pg. 284

Note:  Please remember money for the Santa Workshop tomorrow.  We shop at 11:00!!
Also, don't forget to donate cans or a new toy for someone less fortunate!  We have a total of 130 cans so far!!
